Johnny Midnight, who was once a very popular media personality, just conducted a press conference recently. Since one of his sons was involved in this infamous Alabang Boys drug buy-bust, Johnny wants to call for sobriety and the public’s understanding on the issue. He wants them to suspend judgment on his son. His son, along with actor Brodett’s eldest and another one, a resident of posh Ayala Alabang were caught in what police described as a “sting operation”. They were allegedly caught in a buy-bust operation. Probably, Johnny’s son, as admitted by the father in the presscon is just a “social user” (whatever that means). Yet, why only now that Johnny decided to come out in defense of his son’s honor? Why only after this “high society bribery” incident came into the fore? Why wait for this scandal to break out before Johnny Midnight comes pleading for understanding? Was it because the so-called “midnight deal” did’nt push thru, according to a source within the PNP?
If, indeed, these Alabang boys are involved in this nefarious drug trade, they should tell all. They should unmask the big-time druglords whom they dealt with before. They should unmask the real drug boss who controls the trade in Alabang, Cubao and the Pasig drug trade, allegedly the son of a retired General. And if Johnny realy is sincere in his call for understanding, he should also try to convince his son to turn state witness and undergo rehabilitation. The public is not after his son’s head. Quite the contrary, maybe this is the time for his son to turn as the main anti-drug crusader that his father tried to be in his show over at NBN 4. By the way, Johnny should not pontificate and accuse others of complicity. He should focus more on calling for rehabilitation for drug addicts.
One source revealed that Johnny’s son is not really a hardcore drug pusher-addict. The real pusher is one of the two young guys arrested. He’s said to be the close friend of the high-society drug lord who’s closely associated with a retired general. This guy should be the one arrested by PDEA. But, for some unknown reason, they always fail to catch him in his Valle Verde lair and his BF homes-Paranaque tambayan. Maybe, they’re scared of the father who’s very close with the First Golfer.
I would not even be surprised if some showbiz personalities fall in the next few weeks. This young druglord is highly connected and very well known in the underworld and in showbiz. He’s the one who supplies the drugs to artistas, social climbers, the Fort habitues, and those partygoers. In the future, he’ll be unmasked and brought to justice. For now, the public is encouraging the Alabang boys to spill the beans. Time to rehabilitate yourself. There’s still time for you to repeat and turn a new leaf.
By the way, those Magdalos inside the PDEA—again, thank you. You did a great job. The nation hopes that you’ll continue your good work. Dismantle these drug cartels. Kill the bastards.

Pat, I’m curious… my own sources tell me another Cabinet entity may be involved.
Social user, slight user, first time user, occasional user.. kahit ano pa itawag dun USER PA RIN yun!
and nahuli sila.. so parusahan…
People should rally behind PEDEA… naghahanap tayo ng BIG FISH… eh eto nga lang na not so big fish “inaayos” na ng kung sino dyan…
Pat,
Although I understand your interest in this issue, dont you think we have more pressing national concerns to discuss, such as saving Bambee dela Paz from the Evil Mayor?
See you at Starbucks :)
Hasn’t he been unmasked already in Gorrell’s blog?
At saka drugs to, makikiaalam ba first gentleman kung na-expose ito? The people will tolerate massive stealing, but drugs.
Someone I know, a drug user and probably a dealer too was stung in one of these police operations. Payoff was 80K. If the situation had been allowed to go farther than the police precinct/desk he would have gone to jail for a long time. Ay, Philippines, my Philippines.
Hi Conyo,
I’m equally curious….what’s so pressing with this golf feud between a braggart and another braggart? Is that a pressing concern, saving an allegedly helpless conyo from a Muslim one?
You’re obviously an idiot. These are kids, open fired on arrest by these PDEAs. I’m not even putting judgment on whether they are innocent or not, (although an early 20s big time drug syndicate is so unlikely..) You shouldn’t believe everything you read and always press for due process versus “kill those bastards”.
I agree, again how many times have we seen operations/raids on drug labs that houses millions of pesos worth of drugs? and most of the time they only catch the caretakers and often fail to even get a glimpse of who’s behind it. Now ,with a buy bust operation on 20 year old alleged pushers makse PDEA so confident to rise up and even say they have been bribed but refused tot ake it? I’m not saying these kids have not sinned, but come on PDEA you can do bettern thatn that. obviously this catch wouldnt even make a ripple in the local drug industry.
So is this issue so blown up by the way? If its really about drugdealing, I think these kids networth combined would’nt even make up a captial for a drug running business, maybe they can but not to a druglord status (not that I know how ;) ) hmmm….o yeah, theres 50 M…theres bribery…50 M is big money, if your getting some, I should get some, thats how it is. another thing bribery, our ears are so sensitive to that word it represents evil, and ofcourse if you’re against evil you must be a saint? Ijust hope this wouldnt turn up as another trial by publicity and see politicians jump in to conclusions even though no one’s convicted yet.
Another case that surely goes do drain.
The highest court is in their hands.
People of the Philippines dont waste time on this kind of cases. Lulutuin lang yan tapos ala lang tuloy ligaya.
Long live justice G.
Two things that I wish to share:
1) On the Alabang boys issue, if these “boys” as they are oft referred to are users, by all means rehabilitate them and convert them into useful snd reformed citizens while not all hope is lost….On the other hand, if they are proven to be pushers / dealers, by all means, let them be judged according to the laws of the land but in the same token, let them spill the beans on their sources and customers so that we can have some honest to goodness cleansing of society….I heard that at least one of them was a student at la salle zobel and it was long rumored that at one time, there was a student dealing in drugs. Not saying that we are talking about the same people, but its worth a look.
2) On the golf brawl, I was initially sympathetic to the majority who wanted to hang the pangandaman boys from the highest tree. However, after hearing further reports, turns out that this may just be another case of a battle royale of the wealthy, powerful, influential and the conceited. In which case, let the lawyers fight it out and entertain us.
These boys are notorious on the glam niteclub circuit, my “sources” tell me. But their guilt or innocence can’t be decided with a DOJ that is under a cloud of doubt.
The issue is not their drug dealing but the alleged bribery.
I have been closely following the news about the case of the so-called “Alabang Boys” online. I love reading, observing, and studying cases like this – well-off families living in posh villages, capable of pampering, if not, spoiling their children to the fullest with all the expensive lifestyles and material security only money can buy – sumptuous food, fine clothes, well-invested education, luxury cars and mansions, frequent fine dining and trips in the famous capitals of the world anytime they wish to, and so on – all of which apparently the alleged “Alabang Boys” had grown tired of, hence, directing themselves to new “interests.” I can see that ultra-affluent families – although comfortable and secured they may seem – are problematic. Nevertheless, I would like to imagine myself as one of the mothers of the Alabang Boys. Basically, these women are posh socialite mommies allegedly having sons who are a bunch of “locos”. I just like the idea of having a son (I admit, I myself is a spoiled brat, but fortunately, I have learned to be responsible – learning about life’s meanings and control). I even saw online one of the parents commenting, “Our son is an A-Student. He is always on the Dean’s List. He has given us many awards” and so on and so forth. I just like the protective nature of parents like these, which materializes especially in times like these. I also saw the mug shots of the “Alabang Boys” – Richard Santos Brodett, Jorge Jordana Joseph, and Joseph Ramirez Tecson – and oh boy, they look “mestizo” and handsome Richie Riches. One of them was even smiling as if everything is okay, confident that their parents would rescue them in no time. “Well, Sonny, Daddy and Mommy are rich. Don’t worry, tomorrow we’ll get you out of here.” I would like to emphasize, I am not commenting for or against any of the parties involved in the case. Again, I just like observing, reading, and studying cases like these, i. e. the lavish lifestyles of the rich and famous parents who have problems about their scions, as well as daydreaming that I am a posh Mommy to a Richie Rich. I love these kinds of issues and I would like to write novels about them. They would make fine stories of Fortune, Power, Influence, Fame, Money, Manipulation – all which the Bible refer to as “roots of evil”. And about the suspected bribe of 50 million pesos to the Philippine Government? Again, I am not taking sides, but at the end of the day, all I can say is, cash is, indeed, king!
Voila ! ! !
So the Alabang boys get off the hook. The suggestion of Cocoy and CVJ to legitimize those that we cannot control makes more sense. :)
My view as a former drug victim (Alabang Boys and Parents)
I watched this morning the Alabang parents of so called “alabang boys” on morning show TV, I can’t help but sympathized with them. I remember when I am a heavy user of drugs that this so called “law enforcers” twisted the law.
They witch hunt heavy drug users (heavy users means lots of money in the pocket) not to change them to recovery but to extort money from them. I was victimized not “once but twice” by this people and I could see this people are not concerned for me to change from my twisted ways but compliment them by giving them a “tax money” so I would have a “licence to used drugs.” I could still vividly recall a so called police enforcers telling me after this bati-bati na tayo (after this “caught and bribe me” scheme or the HULIDAP we are now friends).
I can believe this “Alabang parents” that they received a suggestion from these law enforcers that they want 3M “pizza” or mullah? Sadly that time, I have give in to the bribe and give myself a painful reality that nobody could help me but myself to change, with Gods guidance and mercy I was led to recovery. No thanks to these law enforcers that they have opened my mind, not to depend for their “evil concocted help” but only stopping that vice could save me from leading me to bribe them again because that’s what their definition of law enforcement all about. This is a sad reality but true.
Amos Victorino,
If in some distant past you were once a scumbags of the society, you can only blame yourself for that. Accusing the law enforcement why you became a scumbag intead of putting blame to DRUG PUSHERS does not cut.
And you are right for helping yourself, which is the correct thing to do in the first place.
Portrayind these “addicts” as victims is exasperating sometimes. You have been there aren’t you? So you know that while you were with your scumbag buddies, you were enjoying it..you were happy aren’t you? and you are willing to pay some more to get that high feeling only drugs can give..so stop crying, you did the right thing.helping yourself.. and don’t blame everything to the law enforcers.
parents will always protect there sons/daughters… right or wrong..

JUSTICE FOR ALL! METALLICA!

these alabang boys case is nothin but a cover up nagingay lang pdea kasi di sila nakatangap ng suhol sa parents nun alabangag boys.pinapalaya ng pdea mga bigtime druglord kasi big bribe natanggap nila.puro corrupt yan d.o.j at pdea pwe sila.dapat magkarebolusyon na para burahin sa mundo lahat ng druglord at corrupt politician and businessman.fuck them all go to hell.children of fuckin satan.
NO, they are minions of Drug Syndicates. The
Drug Syndicates are faceless people. They have
money to bribe officials. Do you know that the
illegal Drug Business is a multi-trillion dollars
business ? They operate worldwide. They employ
good chemists, engineers, accountants, good PR
people, scientists, politicians,assassins, etc…
It is like a large corporation, like the Microsoft of Bill Gates. They have “Think Tanks” also to advice them on all fields. They are the modern day “Barbarians”.
Amos Victorio,
No, You’re not a victim. Please don’t feed us that crap about you being a victim. As a former drug dependent too. I don’t consider myself as a victim.
bring the alabang boys in davao and am sure di uubra ang pagiging conyo nila dun ;-)
His parents are simple, God fearing people and not at all the kind of people described as “well-off families living in posh villages, capable of pampering, if not, spoiling their children to the fullest with all the expensive lifestyles and material security only money can buy – sumptuous food, fine clothes, well-invested education, luxury cars and mansions, frequent fine dining and trips in the famous capitals of the world anytime they wish to”. that is all gawa gawa ng media. syempre mas makakabenta sila ng newspapers kung ganun ang kwento. at kaya nakatawa si Joseph sa mug shot, it was taken when the DOJ had made their decision and he thought they would be going home. his parents did NOT give a bribe. actually, that’s why they were released. if the parents had been willing to give a bribe di sana sa PDEA na sila nagbigay sa umpisa pa lang. but since they didn’t, their son is still in prison. hindi high class drug lord si joseph. he doesn’t even know brodett personally and PDEA has no evidence of anything. don’t believe everything you read in the newspaper. there are so many things the media reports on na totally hindi totoo. it just sells newspapers.
