Parental involvement in the schools should be required and the families help to reach their children and move them foreward. If the home is in need of physical needs and educationally deprived regarless of income the "stuff at school is not going to make a difference" we need to work hand in hand with the parents of the children at school and with the 7th on up "children" . We need to get the teacher to feel good about teaching and caring about their students. Parents need to be welcomed in the school in a very well planned program. Provide training while the children are at school. Little ones need the parents home in the afternoon and teenager need the parents home even more. Parents need to focus on the children. Even stipen parents to stay home and have them get classes to help their "children - especial the teens. Immigration-- we need to rethink the wall!!!!!!! Mexico is strategicly important and my father's grave and all my relatives graves will be left on the other side of the fence. It did not work for China or Berlin have we not learned any thing. In my area we are building more bridges to connect with Mexico. We are promoting tourism. Lou and the Times must not be from the United States for we in South Texas think he needs to visit. The wall is going up to keep people away that want to work and the employment offices are reporting high unemployment. What is wrong with the picture. Send the billion to build schools, libraries, clinics, and orphanages, etc. in Mexico instead of a wall. Hire more Border Patrol anyone knows that it is shilft work. So a station with 300 only has 100 men or less working at one time. Good for the economy and good for the eco system. Help the Mexican goverment! We need Mexico.
