It’s been neither tragic nor comic. It was, or has been, tragicomic. The “mileage” that ABS will get from this is, I think, a bonus. Not that they intended to have that bonus in the first place. ABS might hardly laugh their way to the bank. As Patricio Mangubat says, “buying stocks right now is not a good idea” and “even if its[sic] ABS-CBN, i’ll just keep my money.”

But who knows? Any one can suspect that ABS will soon fire away with a special documentary featuring the plight of Ces et al. And I bet my ass on it TV commercials will flood it like Yangtze. There’s the bonus.

Pat, your periscope of Gen. Avelino ‘Sonny’ Razon’s visit to Zamboanga City “to monitor” the situation” just hours before the end of the aduction is not far from the mark. Curiously too, now it is being ‘revealed’ that Senator Loren Legard,who is an ‘adopted daughter’ of Muslim Mindanao, was working in the backgroun to help resolve the hostage-taking. And several posts back, our readers may recall, we reported that ‘triumphant’ negotiatr, Indanan mayor Isnaji, is one of seven candidates in the August elections for ARMM governor.

So now the political cards are being revealed.

Isbaji, in particular, is facing a big battle, given that Zaldy Ampatuan, contrary to earlier reports, has decided to make another run for ARMM governor, hoping that he will get the nod of the administration party, Lakas.

A final note: in Malacanang today, flush from the resolution of the Sulu abduction, Pres. Arroyo is presiding over the merger of Lakas and her own party, KAMMPPI, the first such high-powered meeting since JDV was nudge to relinquish control and simply become president emeritus.

Curious events, indeed.

Well, well, well! Buying stocks right now is not a good idea. The economy is extremely risky and volatile. Also, hot money got out of the country. So, even if its ABS-CBN, i’ll just keep my money.

@Benign0, haah, it depends, if they were overpriced to begin with.

HOwever, they may come out high on ratings, but I sincerely don’t think they’ll be laughing if there is an undesired outcome.

Whatever the outcome of this little drama — good or bad, tragic or comic, it’ll be ABS-CBN that will be laughing all the way to the bank.
