SAME OLD STORY. I am tired of hearing these promises. “Masakit na sa
tainga.” I will vote for my carabao.
what exactly didn’t you like? his categorical talk on RH BIll? (see part 4) His answer to the question of Kris’ role in the Future Aquino Administration? His reply to the question of Truth Commission?
I just dont like the Guy. He is too passive. No fire in his
personality. I know a good leader, when I see one…
Kris Aquino is Plastic. I dont watch her shows. They suck…
Unless there are newer interviews, then I am led to believe that NoyNo is against the United Nations Millenium Development Goals concerning reproductive health. Note that NoyNoy is very definitive about how far he believes the State should go, and it really is no more than to remind parents about the responsibilities that go with having a son or a daughter. There is more than just teaching responsibilities. There is teaching of science — Pilipinas needs a Department-Social Welfare/Development and Department-Health to be teaching parents who want to space the years between children what are the options available to them. And already, many parents from classes-D and -E know of, and request government assistance with condoms and IUD’s. NoyNoy’s answer is the CBCP’s answer to these parents who want to reduce unwanted pregnancies.
And then, there is the problem of unplanned pregnancies which NoyNoy managed to mention in his speech at the Makati Business Club. Interestingly, he mentioned unplanned pregnancies side-by-side with illiteracy. What NoyNoy did NOT say is what the United Nations wants done — to combat the illiteracy about pregnancies and reproductive health that persist among the under-40-years old of Pilipinas. The United Nations wants Pilipinas to more actively teach the science of sperms-and-egg-cells in the schools. Teaching responsible parenthood ONLY TO PARENTS misses that huge number of pregnancy-capable Pinoys and Pinays who go beyond holding hands and kissing. Then failing to teach sperms-and-egg-cells to students is, well, a failure.
Condoms. I believe that all Pilipinas congressmen and senators including NoyNoy knows of condoms (what they look like, per-unit cost, how to put it on, etcetera); that they all know what condoms can do to reduce the number of unplanned prenancies — one would believe (but apparently it is still is a battle) that Pilipinas Congress would not mind sharing the knowledge with Pinoys and Pinays in Pinas age 17-and-above. By his response, I do not expect NoyNoy to be actively supporting the distribution of condoms to combat sexually-transmitted diseases and to reduce unplanned pregnancies.
When all is said and done, the reproductive health issue reveals NoyNoy flipflops. The NoyNoy who in August/September/october09 was a pro-woman candidate with ideas on the problem of unplanned pregnancies and his support of education concerning reproductive health, the today NoyNoy flipflopped when he met the opposition of two or three bishops.
he was actually funny. hope you were able to watch the q&a.

he has a verbal tick. he keeps saying, `no’ at the end of his sentences. not a big deal, but noticeable. so noticeable that if he becomes president, entire impressions will be built on it.
seriously, it was a good session, and i leave it with the impression that noy has objectives and goals, some specific promises that he can definitely accomplish as president (i.e. no new taxes, voucher program for education) a political philosophy, and a sense of humor.
now, what about the other guys? villar, gordon? kayo naman.
NoyNoy can flipflop on “no new taxes” just as he can flipflop on woman and education issues reproductive health.
Indeed a good session, you can feel the honesty and love for country in Noynoy. Sana naman the likes of Martiano eh mag-isip-isip….
You only see the face. The way a person moves. The way he
talks. If you have the so called INNER EYE. You can pierce
thru the mask of a man or a woman. I see one of the five
candidates who has a FIRE on his personality.
I opposed the late Pres. Marcos. But, if you study the way
he talks. The way he moves. And the way he stands among the
crowd. You can understand what I am talking about.
It is up to you to examine one by one those Presidential
candidates. Leadership is also CHARISMA.
Villar looks like a consumate Con Man to me. He hides to sidestep
issues. Gordon is a conditioned opportunist. He bends to anybody who is in power. I dont like both guys. They suck.
Erap Estrada is a bonehead. The guy is a good actor, with
no brains. He is also a convicted felon. The worst of the
candidates.
