GK started off as a program of Couples for Christ, a Catholic lay organization. as the program took off and took on a life of its own, and became larger than life - the CFC leadership wanted to rein in the program direction. the CFC brought in the CBCP to further its cause. in the end, if the GK program has to succeed and continue, it will be done best as an entity separate from the CfC and CBCP. by having its own charted, GK will have less organizational politics from CFC and CBCP - parochial politicking that gets in the way of program implementation. it is a management issue.
