I disagree. I think that we are born to reproduce not to fornicate all the time. But the issue here which we are now unaware of is that people use the holy act of sex for pleasure which is really just temporary (that’s why some do it very often, the pleasure is for short term). The act of doing it all the time “cheapens” the act making it perverse. And this perverseness of sex when it went to a higher level brought about the punishment of God and therefore brought AIDS.

As for the Pope. going around saying that condoms promote promiscuity and yet at the same time not rebuking the media for the proliferation of promoting catalyst for sexual feelings is disappointing. Magazines and the Internet are more accessible nowadays even to teenagers. The burden of censure are on the public. I would like the Pope to preach more on preventive measures using prudence.

UNICEF supports a hospice for HIV-AIDS diagnosed kids. The government has facilities for some patients. In RITM, people living with HIV-AIDS can get antiretroviral drugs and if I am not mistaken, for free.

The financial burden is one main reason why families don’t want to care for an HIV-AIDS family member even if they can afford it. On top of this is the view that this disease is a sort of punishment from God.
