Mike Defensor does not lie
Mike Defensor says he never asked Jun Lozada to do the things Lozada claims he asked him to do.
The true story, according to Defensor, is he told Lozada to set the record straight because Lozada told him that he was just taken for a pleasant ride around southern Luzon by an overly friendly welcome committee.
“Pare, dalawang araw ka ng hinahanap baka gusto mong mag press conference (Buddy, they’ve been looking for you for two days, you may want to hold a press conference).”
Defensor says Lozada changed his story when he got to the Court of Appeals.
“Pagdating sa Court of Appeals nung hindi na ako nakaharap ang sabi niya daw that I told him to deny that he was kidnapped and that, secondly, I told him to deny the NBN ZTE, not to talk about the NBN-ZTE.”
Mike Defensor does not lie.
He says he does not want to see his old friend go to jail.
“He’ll just amend his statement and we’re done.”
He says he only wants to clear his name for his children’s sake.
“I am doing this for my children because I do not want my name to appear in law books that I was a kidnapper.”
Defensor wants Lozada to amend his statement so that Lozada’s children will see their father’s name appear in law books as a perjurer.
Press Secretary Cerge Remonde and political adviser Gabriel Claudio claimed Defensor’s perjury case against Lozada is purely his own thing, although they admitted talking to him about it.
Remonde said he only mentioned the case “in passing.”
“I just asked about his take on it. But it was not meant to impose on him.”
Claudio said he “never advised (Defensor) on any particular course of action.”
Mike Defensor said, “Cerge Remonde called me up last Saturday, and Gabby Claudio called me up on Sunday. Cerge again called on Monday evening. They asked me to withdraw the case, because the Lozada issue was dead but is being revived.”
Mike Defensor does not lie.
In 2003, Defensor, then a Cabinet secretary, claimed he rescued Udong Mahusay, the star witness in the Jose Pidal money laundering scandal, from unnamed persons who were holding him against his will. Defensor, with the help of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) whisked Mahusay out of The Milestone Hotel in Tagaytay and flew him to safety in an Air Force chopper.
Defensor said he did what he did simply because he, along with Atty. Jose Miguel Arroyo, stood as a sponsor in Mahusay’s wedding. He had no interest whatsoever in preventing Mahusay from testifying in the money laundering charges against Atty. Jose Miguel Arroyo.
Then Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye explained that Defensor’s rescue mission, involving the PSG and an Air Force helicopter, was done in his personal capacity.
Mike Defensor does not lie. Neither does Bunye.
In 2005, Defensor held a press conference at a hotel in Quezon City to finally lay to rest the issue of the “Hello Garci” tapes. Aided by a panel of men he said were audio experts, Defensor set out to prove that the tapes were digitally altered and spliced to create a fake conversation between Mrs. Arroyo and Comelec Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano.
“That was her voice but she was not the one doing the talking” was Defensor’s epitaph for the whole Garci episode.
Mike Defensor does not lie. He just sees things in a different light.

Nothing will come out of this because both of them don’t have evidences.
Even top level officials cannot just get it. No evidence, no charges. If there are charges the suit cannot go far. And they are TOP LEVEL OFFICIALS!!!
So these are the kind of government officials that run our country?
Even CEO-material (daw, kono) Joey de Venicia would rather indulge in gossip than gathering of evidence.
What has we come to? Since our media practitioners conveniently not lashed out to Joey, our readers would believe that this is the law of the land in the PHilippines … See? I told you so many thousand times, our media is dumbing Filipiinos!

Indeed the way Defensor frames it, he is the aggrieved.
The reality is he’s worried his plans to run for mayor of Quezon City will be blotted by the case.
As it is Vice Mayor ‘Bistek’ Bautista is already looking like a winner having gotten the nod of outgoing Mayor Belmonte who’s going to reclaim his House seat.
If Lozada’s accusation failed in public, would Lozada’s failure be an evidence against him in Libel Suit?

Mike Defensor worked for Gloria Arroyo. He was there when Gloria
Arroyo stole the election. If Defensor has the integrity and at
least the “delicadeza” to dissociate himself with an election thief.
I would believe that he never lied in his life. And can be nominated
for Sainthood.
But, I believe that he even facilitated, and was an aggressive participant in the election fraud and cheating.

Defensor was never bagets but he was spice boys. Remember the Padi’s Point incident? He was just helping some girls who were wrongfully arrested by the police.
Bagets was innocent fun. Spice Boys had none of that!
Quite frankly, after GMA Defensor will have to quickly ‘reinvent’ himself so he doesn’t join the ranks of the ‘forgets’ from once being ‘Spicey’.

News have reached us here in New York that Mike Defensor is running for the mayoralty position in Quezon City. We would like to announce to the whole world what kind of government official Mike Defensor was, before, God forbids, he becomes QC mayor. Mike Defensor was the Malacanang factotum who made those infamous phone calls to NY Consul General Rebong and to then-POEA Administrator Baldoz to lift the preventive suspension order against Sentosa Recruitment Agency. This was after NY Senator Schumer himself intervened. Defensor, as borne out by those events, will not hesitate to sell out his kababayans if only to please the foreigner, an abusive employer at that. So, to all Quezon City voters, especially the nurses, please heed the call of your colleagues, the former Sentosa nurses: DO NOT VOTE FOR MIKE DEFENSOR!!!
Defensor is a product of the Arroyo Administration. As Spice Boy they were into doing something. But he chose to be a devil’s advocate. Enough is enough.

to all my fellow qc residents, please do not let yourself be deceived by the boyish looks of mike defensor and his black propaganda. he’s accusing his rival of plunder when in fact, he’s the one guilty of so much greediness and corruption. he twisted the facts in order to make it appear that his opponent was more corrupt than him but as the bible says, let the man who has not sinned cast the first stone…
