True the blogosphere had opened a whole new world for writers of all persuasions and, skills.
Without over-selling FV and giving any of its blogger-members inordinate credit, allow me to be more direct in clarifying what Pat was adverting to in his much misunderstood post.
There is one online denizen who has apparently been loosely bragging about his supposed “closeness” members of this political writing collective.
More than, that a journalist friend of mine confirmed that this certain individual has offered to generate ‘custom’ postings in FV to further clients’ political positions FOR A PRICE.
Pending consultations with lawyers, I will if necessary identify this influence-peddler and corrupt interner individual considering that he dropped even my name as “AMONG HIS ASSETS.”
Popularity: 1% [?]
Now, this is a blog post.
Ding:you need to name names. Not fair to the 99% of the writing collective of this great on-online Pinoy post.
Jeez, just let this guy post whatever he/she wants to post, whether influenced by “incentives” or not.
I think FV bloggers are able to keep one another honest simply by the way we challenge one another’s ideas.
Ding,
“allow me to be more direct in clarifying what Pat was adverting to in his much misunderstood post.”
Pardon me. Why is it always “misunderstood” when people take it the way not in consonace with your views?
Isnt it presumptuous? We understand Pat’s views that is why we are reacting.
what’s all the fuss?
Such waste of intellectual exercise on a no-sensical topic..
Go back to the more mind nourishing topics guys.. The topic is starting to bore me.,;=)
Blogging is not writing, if you love writing publish a book..And those people who wants to read unadulterated script, buy a book that has undergone reviews from professional and well known writers.
correction >>> “non-sensical”
If any blogger writes and supports a politician, that blogger has the right to do what he/she needs to do. To my conclusion, the politician will lose money and the blogger will make money. And that blog will automatically lose its credibility.
No political candidate old or new will have the ability to showcase their talents, skills educational background and experience in public service because those are not the requirements for candidancy. The requirements are :
1. able to dance the ocho ocho
2. to sing in public with a movie star
3. to pay 500 to 1000 pesos per head
4. distribute cheap t- shirts from China
5. hire men with guns
6. paste their ugly faces on cemented fences and lamp posts
7. Cheap overhead banner with lots of promises made to be broken
8. A relative of another political figure
9. corporate sponsors perceive as not acceptable corporate behavior in the modern world
at marami pa. :)
so why are you guys making a big deal of this unknown guy?
Yeah. It mirrors the bigger ocho-ocho politics that Pinoy society is so addicted to — creating noise where none is required and focusing on people and events rather than on ideas.
If we just let ideas be the primary currency of this forum then we will allow the system that FV has become weed out the morons.
It’s simple, really. :D
P.S
10. able to share travel family pictures around the world using people’s money.
11. Good PR to provide the fiesta celebration with 100 fresh lechon and 1000 lechon manok to feed the POOR in one barangay. of course with branded Soda like coca cola and pepsi with no ice. (courtesy of the Philippines Tax Revnue)
12. Excellent marketing skills in bribery.
13. Creative in diverting funds for personal use
14. Secure 100% of all government contracts with their own corporate names.
15. Ability to generate revenue , multiply and grow their own businesses from pork in the private sectors
16. Improve recruitment of another family members at least 1 or 2 in every generation.
17. Increased unemployment every year :)
18. Will solve crimes to those who can only pay the judge.
oh ano pa?
Understand that the outer can be liable too. Better check with a lawyer first, but you gotta name the guy.
About Pat’s post. Please read it again. He started off waxing poetic about the pinoy blogging community. Do you really think we are misinterpreting him?
ding,
don’t pat yourself on the back. FV, while a popular blog indeed, has not reached the status as a force to be reckon with. while it may generate thousands of visits everyday, any right thinking politician or powerful individual, can see the limit of its audience, which are mostly the “burgis” or privileged class who can afford computers and internet services.
FV has yet to approximate the coverage and the audience of “Abante” or the El Shaddai of Mike Velarde to make a serious contention.
Most of the perrenial commenters here, I suppose, are Pinoys who have left the Philippines for a saner atmosphere. :)
… makes money off a LIST-OF-NAMES but is not spreading the wealth to the names… aba, masama naman iyon!!!
O baka naman… ay, ayokong makihalo sa mga tulad ni Unknown-guy-whose-name-cannot-be-mentioned at sa mga tulo-uhog.
And why this purity-purity-insistence for bloggers to name who they work for when this can result on those bloggers getting fired?
This seems to be “…. gusto ko ng maniwala sa sulat niya, pero baka may ulteryor motive”, ang hirap naman nito. Bakit ba ang hirap ng buhay??
how much?
A word of friendly advice to Pinoy ‘influential’ bloggers: Remove the anger and the angst.
Blogging is not about nor good writing. It about sharing your ideas, thoughts, events and incidents in your life to those who may wish to read, listen, and your views, passion, or reason. Along the way, you may or may not change or influence people, create an new fad, inspire a revolution, etc.
But don’t take the fun out of doing it. Don’t take yourselves too seriously.
Nagkukuwentuhan lang tayo dito.
Phil,
Who would really listen to a pinoy idea? :)
leytenian,
I listened to Conyo and I’m now addicted to Starbucks’ latte.
Seriously, its really about social networking. Naging medyo heavy lang dahil FV is a political blog.
But at the end of the day or night, do people remember what was said by whom on what and how and why??? With millions of view points and ideas floating in cyberspace. Influential my foot!!!
Think about it.
Must also be about the things you don’t read in off-line media. Who’s a corrupt media man, for instance, and how many in media are corrupt. For me, I learned these things here and it’s quite terrible. Of course I’m someone who has never had any faith in hearsay, even if it comes from friends. I want it written down, published.
Now, somebody should learn from your entry instead of bringing too much name badges and circuitous paligoy-ligoy.
BTW, just so ya’all know, I will accept political ads. Hehehe! Ako? Aayaw nang pera?! The higher the price, the juicier my stories are gonna be. Me youtube pa.
Gents,
For once, here I feel Benign0 is spot on. Name names? In due time. Am talking to my lawyers.
do you really need a lawyer to divulge such information? isn’t it just “So and so was heard boasting that……”??
name and shame para maubos ang corrupt!
I don’t see why you need to waste money on a lawyer (and we know there are lots of them happy to get a retainer….)
nash,
Sa tutoo lang those in the blogosphere community in Metro Manila already know the influence peddler’s name. Am just being prudent and reserving my own legal moves against the fellow if warranted by the evidence I am putting together. He knows who he is. I’ll even be emailing him shortly to get his side.
As in any situation. There will always be Bloggers
who prostitute themselves to Politicians for the
highest bidder. Politicians will always hire
Fake Bloggers to promote their political agendas.
You can easily spot these people. They are pitchmen
of Politicians , especially Candidate aspirants.
