President Barack Obama is set to make his first State of The Union Address speech in just a few hours — January 27th, 9pm Eastern Time. In a pivotal time in his presidency, as The Democrats recently lost their 60th seat in The Senate, he will be facing a tough time for his party.
He is expected to focus on the budget deficit as he announces his push for a freeze on spending. Freezes on spending will not, however include programs in Medicare, Social Security, Defense, and Homeland Security.
He is also expected to touch on Health Care, terrorism, the state of the economy, and jobs. The Republican response will also be aired right after The State of The Union speech. The speech and the response will be aired on all major news networks, as well as online.
