Some of the country’s economic managers (with quote from IMF experts, if I remember correctly) stated that RP will “buck the trend” of widespread recession from the financial meltdown. Again, it is said that OFW remittances will save the day and cushion the impact on the Philippines.

It begs the question: What will happen to the global demand for RP’s manufactured products, OFWs, and Call Centers?

Unless, of course. we have become out of touch with the REAL PHILIPPINES, imperfect as it is and in short supply of ‘clever’ people but abundantly blessed with the corrupt, in and out of government. :)
