The Resurrection of the Anti-Christ

A Congressman once likened Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to that of Jesus Christ. He said that the People can’t just crucify someone out of innuendoes and false accusations. Yet, if I remember my Bible correctly, especially the Book of Matthew and that of the Book of Revelations, in the end times, false prophets and anti-Christs will appear claiming to be the saviour. And we will know them by their fruits.

We all know that Gloria is not Jesus, nay, far from him. Jesus was never greedy nor had that insatiable appetite for power. Christ even sacrificed his life so that others may live. For Gloria, as the records would show, she ordered the killing of activists, arrested change agents, destroyed thousands of farmer’s lives and promoted an immoral governance style. “We will know them by their fruits”, the good book says.

And like that proverbial story in the bible, in just three days, the cabal of Gloria killed the impeachment complaint. Voting 42 to 8, these cult followers of Gloria wearing amerikanas and barongs showed their unfledging worship to the Philippine anti-Christ. With their hossanas, they infused new life to the old fogey, albeit, literally bringing forth the resurrection of the Pinay anti-Christ. What is left right now in the House of Represent-the-Thieves is that elixir, a proposal to extend the life of the Pinay Anti-Christ up to 2011.

After that infamous voting, Gloria’s “John”, Executive secretary Eduardo Ermita treated Malacanang reporters and other “disciples” of the Anti-Christ to a sumptuous lunch. ” Triumph of justice”, so they say as they feasted on roast pig, and other gourmet foods which ordinary Pinoys just eat in their dreams. Gloria’s cult delivered in Congress, led by a man who sired a boyish looking demon who now is on a mission to flatten our mountains and mine our gold to sacrifice in the altar of the almond-eyed Mammon.

” This signals the death of truth and justice”, was the only remarked of the reformed cultist member who once feasted with the Anti-Christ and once masterminded the antics of the cabal in repulsing the truth. The reformed master of tricks now feels very threatened, knowing that his political extinction is beyond reach. ” It’s only the people who can save this country from infamy and tyranny”.

But, what of the people? We live in such evil times that the blackness has even creeped within our very souls. We live in a chaotic era where hope is non-existent. As predicted in the good book, these times try men’s souls. We will be lured to worship the anti-Christ. We will succumb to her wiles. And we have. Oil companies just lowered pump prices. Employers just gave out 13th month pays. Malls have cut their prices by 50%. Government is creating a favorable environment, giving us the crumbs while they feast on 30 billion pesos of stolen money from our pockets.

We feel nothing because the State has injected a social anesthetic. Can we ever defeat the power of this Anti-Christ who use our monies to lull us to complacency while they rape and sodomize us? Such is the power of this social anesthetic that even those who are enlightened, are themselves, helpless against this anti-Christ.

” Cha-cha is evil”, says the head of one of God’s divisions. But, yes, we know. Since last year, the people already know that Gloria is the anti-Christ. What will God’s disciples do to defeat Satan’s daughter? Place their hope in law? Hope lies not in law, but in men. In these times, we need to expunge the anti-Christ from our midst. And it should be now, not later.

The comparison to Christ the Lord is unwarranted for the following reasons.

    1) If Gloria is crucified then we are absolutely sure that she won’t rise from the dead. Christ rose from the dead.
    2) Jesus the Christ is the only person we know that never wanted power but ACTUALLY had it (power over the Cosmos)! He had no need to call Garci, whether he was in heaven or hell.
    3) Jesus didn’t have an economics PhD and was no neoliberal. He never went to school.
    4) The Gospels never recorded that Jesus lied. We just couldn’t get what his parables meant!
5)Jesus was recorded to have cast out the moneychangers and thieves from the Temple. Gloria would rather have them there! :-)
6)Jesus multiplied the loaves and the fish and fed the multitude, Gloria had problems importing these and can’t feed them all.
    7) Jesus was only known to have changed water into wine. Gloria has been known to change many things!:-)

I’ll leave it at 7 but there are many reasons why Gloria ain’t the Christ.

    Laus Deo, Laus Christus. Amen

    what a comparison…

an article created based on hate and a narrow-minded view.

    amen.

  3. joma says:

The better part is that Gloria existed. Jesus?..well..

  4. blackshama Blackshama says:

Jesus existed. The Jewish historian Josephus mentioned him in his Jewish Wars. Tacitus also mentioned him. Jesus has only one or two references outside the Gospels. But at least his documentation is in the historical record. Compare this with Pontius Pilate whose only sure evidence we know that he existed is in the archaeological record. The question about Christ that has to be taken as faith is his Divine nature.

Are we not jealous of GMA’s power because we covet it ourselves or our patrons cover it for themselves?

Is there not a reminder in the bible too that says judged not so you shall not be judged?

Does not the lord exhorted us to be humble and meek so we can possess the land?

Is not GMA actually our Savior?

Here is Father Fulton J. Sheen’s sermon on the 8 beatitudes:

“Often our enemy is our savior; our persecutor is often our redeemer; our executioners are often our allies; our crucifiers are often our benefactors – for they reveal what is selfish, base, conceited, and ignoble in us. But we must not hate them for that. To hate them for hating us is weakness. If we go on answering hate with hate, how will hate ever end. Answering violence with violence is to propagate further violence; strife increases the sum of bitterness, regardless of who triumphs. Hate is like a seed: if we sow it we reap more hate. If hatred is to be overcome, the sting must be taken out of it; it must not be nourished, or cultivated, or propagated. But how can this be, except by returning good for evil”.

Jesus sermon on the mount reminds us also “love your enemies”.

  6. Juwad, err, juwan_D,

Your friend Gloria’s congressional ally was the one who started this. He was the one who compared Gloria to Christ. Who’s the narrow minded? You? Or your patron, Gloria?

    Will i say more?

    Jcc,

What? Gloria as our saviour? Are you freakin kidding me, my friend?

  7. jcc says:

    PATRICIO,

Please read carefully my post with particular attention to Bishop Sheen’s message. Don’t be sore, just open up your mind and your eyes. :)

if this article is not inane, it is most certainly ignorant and nonsensical. in the first place, the “anti-christ” is supposed to have the ability to ensnare a good part of the whole world with his magical powers that emanates from the dark side. gma, with all her powers in tiny philippines, would not even sway any of its immediate neighbors in south asia.

it looks like patricio is taking the congressman’s analogy out of context. it appears the latter is referring to the manner in which Jesus was condemned to death on the cross merely on trumped-up charges, speculations and innuendos by a hate-crazed mob. it seems the congressman was exhorting his colleagues not to duplicate the same evil.

btw, this article clearly shows that FV has room for all kinds of thought (other than illegal). the readers are freely left to their own devices to separate the gem from the muck.

  9. joma says:

Anti Christ? Patricio, ikaw nga ba sumulat ng article na ito?

  10. joma says:

    Blackshama,

I am aware of what you are referring to. It is the two passages in the book Antiquities of the Jew and not the Jewish War. However, that is not a concern.

These passages appear in The Antiquities of the Jews, written in the year 93 by the Jewish historian Josephus. All extant copies of this work, which all derive from Christian sources, even the recently recovered Arabic version, contain the two passages about Jesus. The authenticity of the Testimonium Flavianum has been disputed since the 17th century, and by the mid 18th century the consensus view was that it was a forgery. (from Wiki, Josephus on Jesus)

Jesus never figures in any of his present-day historical writings, unless I missed it. He was never mentioned, even in passing, by the learned men who lived at Jesus’ time despite the claim of many miracles such as raising the dead and walking on water.

Another interesting observation is the writings of Paul the apostle, where one can deduce that Jesus is not a man who walks on the street of Jerusalem. Paul has no clue of the Jesus the virgin born, a miracle worker and Jesus’ teaching. And Paul’s work was written ahead of the Gospels, if you will accept the scholars timing.

Of course, I am not saying there is no Jesus beyond doubt. All I am asserting is that the proof for Jesus, if any, is foggy and full of loopholes.

hay naku bencard, patuwarin mo na lang kaya muna si gloria bago mo ikumpara kay JC na di sya dapat paratangan.

it is your reading of the congressman’s analogy that is out of context. we have all the reason na paratangan sya. she is not a blameless sacrificial lamb gaya ni JC. she is fair game to be held accountable and to be criticized for her actions because she is a public official.

the power that she weilds supposedly emanates from the people (if not from garci). the power that JC weilds supposedly emanates from that entity we call God.

    gets mo ba bencardio?

    juwan_d,

we are doing this for purely academic exercise. we are not fortunate to have an army to command or a bureaucracy to manage, but we continue to validate our existence by expressing our minds through this limited space and audience. some have the knack of dipping off their fingers in the national treasury, while we have our fingers adroitly punching our keyboards. their acts create untold sufferance of the populace, while no matter how we erred in our posts, no one is ever injured, only our feeling of self-esteem, or the contempt of others for our slur.

i would not blame myself for inaction on matters that i am not free to act, i can only suggest on how others should act.
