The Simple Life

I’ll let the title and photos speak for themselves. Neatly tucked away in the heart of Las Piñas lies the very simple abode of a very simple man who leads a very simple life. Based on his claims, he enjoys simple living. When you finally get to see for yourself how simple he really is, then you might say that poverty does not exist in the Philippines. You might say that poverty is a figment of the Filipinos’ imagination. I don’t know how this man can claim simplicity without batting an eyelash. If the poor he says he care for so much for can see the size of his estate, they might think they’re living in another planet.

Tall tales have been spread by his cronies. Tales that would make your heart sink. His campaign ads are filled with gut-wrenching stories of his rise to fame (or infamy). What was once a small subdivision within a subdivision is now owned by this very simple man. He as managed to acquire the properties in this very small community. He even bought a sizable lot fronting his humble abode so his guests can have a place to park. The owners of the few remaining properties have to abide by his very strict security protocols. After all, with the many lives he has ruined to get to where he is, threats would surely abound. But of course, the endorsement of the supposed protector of the abused have taken away the threat of the left.

Unlike the viral photos of his supposed mansion circulating in the net, these pictures are the real deal. Of course he doesn’t live there as he has bought the ancestral home of a prominent political clan in the glitzy area of Wack-Wack. I’m sure he still owns this as this is where he started his empire. Let me remind you however, that this property does not occupy a block but a big part of a small community.

I hope you enjoy the pictures of this very simple home.

One of the things I respect my father for. Never did I hear him say “…ang mga magnanakaw lang ang nagkakaroon ng ganiyang klaseng bahay” on the instances we would see really nice big houses.

Go to the people living around the Garbage Dumps. They are lkiving in waht we call “Simple Life. They will not Eat. If they cannot find Junk in the Garbage to sell…This is our true situation…

  3. Bert says:

Oh, how I wish I am as poor and simple as that miserable man.

    • Bert says:

I am even willing to swim in a mountain of thrash if it would give me the audacity and courage to make projects that would extend short and straight diversion road to longer and crooked route. But that’s just wishful thinking and hallucination. My stomach is not up to it.

Simple life? who are you kidding? Filipinos who are poor live sinple life of rice and tuyo.

  5. The Equalizer says:

Who says rich people has simple life?…Most Filipinos live on poverty, 90% of them. This is the simple life.

It’s the end of Villar now that Manong and Erap have started pouncing on Villar’s PSE shenanigans.

    Tapos na ang boksing.

having grown up and studied in Metro Manila…and as I frequently travelled passenger jeepneys…I learned the importance of avoiding eye contact with other passengers…the reason was simple…direct eye contact can easily mis perceived by any strangers as a challenge to fight…you can actually noticed this as well to other passengers that they avoiding eye contact as well…a fear beyond the mind…that everyone thinks that all strangers are bad :)…this was very different when I was a kid…I played staring games to my little sister; the idea of this game is to see who can stare the longest without laughing or blinking…and the first one to blink or to laugh is the loser…and during those years…I also learned that making eye contact is disrespectful to my old artifacts…one day, my “lola” freak out while she was giving me an advise due to my naughtiness of teasing my sentive cousin…and because I stared at her…she told me “patingin-tingin ka pa” “wala ka talagang respeto, mana ka talaga sa daddy mo”…anyways…I just tell this story…simply because as the saying says…”THE EYES IS THE WINDOW OF THE SOUL”…you heard from Vilar that he is living a simple life…then accept it…that’s what your ears heard…but what makes the author of this post trying to imply is the EYES SEES ONLY WHAT THE MIND IS PREPARED TO COMPREHEND…kung ang nagbabasa nito ay Supporters ni Villar…this is no-nonsense. So Mr. Schumey…we are not villarroyo supporters…so we see Villarroyo as an asshole!
    kay NOY-BI ako hehehe…o kaya ERAP-MAR hihihi…pwede!

  8. GabbyD says:

villar never said he lives a simple life.

he said he was born poor and became rich thru sipag at tiyaga.

having a big house is consistent with this.

also: sabi ng PSE, the stock transaction was above board right?

  9. baycas says:

sabi ng PSE, the stock transaction was above board right?

    Yep…

The stock transaction’s always right…especially when no less than the Senate President hovers above the PSE board

This is another case of interest WITHOUT conflict. This is another practice both MORAL and ETHICAL.

Oops, I forget…Villar had lost his credibility already

    • nosibalasi says:

agree po ako dyan…villar is no longer credible…pero pede siya maging in-credible hulk pag presidente na siya…out of control…dami pera eh!

  10. thenashman says:

It’s also the PSE’s fault for being so porous and inconsistent.

“Anyway, you don’t always follow your rules,” the lawyer quoted Villar as telling the board. “Why can’t I get an exemption? Magtulungan na lang tayo (Let’s just help each other).” – Inquirer

Talagang magaling! O ganito.

    • macapili says:
