The unflappable Cerge Remonde

The continuing saga of Cerge Remonde and the 20K dinner at Le Cirque

It all started when…

cerge1

And so he tried to kill the story by saying someone else paid for the dinner.

And when that didn’t work, he changed tack and implied the whole thing was okay because they only ate and there was no making hapi-hapi.

And when the story still refused to die…

cerge2

But that didn’t sell either. So he decided to make Gloria into someone unlike you, me and that black guy…

cerge31.

I know this is dated but…

assuming it was paid by a private person: the 20K is an exposure of bribery. no reasonable businessperson will expose himself that way in front of public eyes.

if paid by the people’s tax, kawawa kayo…

wow, i like the last image even better! so GMA’s boob, popped up that much? no wonder, the generals are having a field day at her administration, know what i mean? ehhhhehe!

ang singkit na mata ni Arthur Yap, lumuwa rin tuloy, wahahha! yap yap yap!

  3. siyetehan says:

so who do you reckon is better, Bunye or Remonde?

  4. Joe America says:

In the US, they call these public servants “spinmeisters”, as they are masters of spinning any fact into a different fact. It isn’t called lying anymore. It is a respectable skill to list on one’s resume.

Obviously, the same is true here.

  5. Against this neatly-done satirical backdrop, I would have wanted all three of these spokespersons, namely – Remonde, Golez, and Fajardo – interviewed at the same time but in three different places and let us see the uncharacteristic ‘plurality’ of views.

Perhaps, it is Cerge who can relate better with GMA than the two combined. But for a presidential spokesperson, I feel Cerge falls short of the mark but nonetheless has projected himself as comfortable with his spoken English, however nearly ethnic.

    • Dean De La Paz Dean de la Paz says:

      Dear Primer,

That “nearly ethnic” description is so apt.

My Palace friends tell me that GMA is really taken to “Cerge” more than the rest ( so your take hit it on the head) and one of the reasons is that “nearly ethnic” quality that he has. She seems to like “bad boys” with “dark dispositions”.

By the way, did you notice that Lorelie is a compound noun comprised of the words “lore” and “lie”?

On the good doctor from the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) who turned to being a spokesperson. There is something apt there. First being a “doktor” and next, coming from a disaster coordinating agency.

Given these, GMA could not have picked a better gaggle.

Sorry — just what “facts” are people dealing with here? I’ve been out of the loop…but this silly story sure is tearing up the networks.

OK…so what are the facts, please, anybody?

  7. BongV BongV says:

as long as it ain’t taxpayers money. end of story.

  8. ADiaz says:

Ako pa nimo Noy Cerge, uli ka na lang sa Cebu kay nawani na ang imohang saktong paminsar. Nabuta ka siguro sa mga kwarta ni Ate Glo.

  9. Hyden Toro says:

The more the “asungots” sanitize their insensitivities. The more lies
come out from their mouths. The more justifications. The more they are engulf in their quick sand of lies.

The best way to get out of a quick sand is to remain still. Dont
struggle. The faster you shut your mouth. The better. People dont
    believe you anymore…

The best way to handle tsismosos is to rub it in and watch them grow angrier while you are having the time of your life – talo ang pikon … :)

Anyway, Champaigne wishes and Caviar dreams…May all of them have
    indigestions!!!

Le Cirque incident has now gone to Circus Le Soliel. Spokesman
Monsieur Cerge Remonde is now doing Verbal Acrobatics to difuse
    the issues. Vive Le Remonde!

  12. rosa says:

Reminds me when he denied about Arroyo’s breast implants and made up excuses. In a short span of time he did a 360 and admitted that Arroyos breast is leaking due to breast implant that were done long time ago. Now if he can only get all the attendees agree on one version so that they are not disintunado. Was it in Le Cirque or in a different restaurant as some of the partygoers claim? Was it 30 0r 50 people attending? Was it Martin or his brother Daniel paying for it? Now he is saying that Bayan Muna is the brain behind this story and have control over a NY post. Conspiracy theory abounds. Their stories are changing by the minute.

    • Hyden Toro says:

Anything to fit your imagination. So that you will finally
      believe them…

    • Dean De La Paz Dean de la Paz says:

      Dear Rosa,

It was L’Cirque. Since L’Cirque is french for “The Circus”. I am pretty sure that it was there were clowns and midgets go.

The same wild incoherence when explaining the paper bags full of monies distributed to congressmen and governors in Malakanya-kanyang.

  14. Codewalkz says:

It’s quite hard to believe someone who has already talked as if so sure but failed to justify himself. And the worst.. he’s the Spokesperson.. hayz..

  15. windows says:

Do you allow your mother who was invited to be a Ninang in a wedding ceremony to wear her very old and dilapidated dress because she don’t have money to buy one? Will you allow your child who will be graduating in High School or College to wear their dilapidated shoes because you are out of budget? I know it will break your heart if you are the parent. Do you allow your President to dine in Kentucky Fried Chicken who was on a state or official visit because you are from the Philippines? Do you know what is the exchange rate of our Peso against the Dollar? Let me ask this, how much are they spending in street rallies and other unproductive activities. Yes, they are “peoples money”, but this “people’s money” can also buy food for the poorest. The Presidency is just a larger scale of a Filipino family who values dignity. How do you show yourself on a job interview? Do you tell the HR that you lack the qualities because you came from a public school? What kind of nature are now the Filipinos?

  16. nosibalasi says:

well at least GMA and her entourage got publicity in United States, that she has the same status with Corazon Aquino…kung may aangal…ginagaya ko lang si Cerge :)

  17. Phil Manila says:

Lemme say my two hundred thousand pesos opinion:

    1. About La Cirque, there is no arguing about taste (De gustibus… and all that)

    2. And delicadeza: well if it’s true that that it was Marty Roumualdez’ credit card that got charged, no questions asked. Politicians are politicians.

3.But the big deal is the Denial.

  18. windows says:

re: LOWEST FORM OF PEOPLE – This is the reason why we have a very bad image here and abroad , nobody is respecting us anymore because we try to put down each other in front of the world. No matter how good your intention, there is always somebody to envy you “Mali ka parin”. I am ashamed to be a filipino, the “f” should not be in capital letter anymore. Nakakahiya talaga tayo. We the fucking fs are easily manipulated by prominent personality in order to advance their agenda. I believe now that we are one of the lowest forms of people in this world already. Kaya hindi tayo umasenso, even who is seating in Malacanang. Do you remember in the recent history if there was a seating president that was truly supported by the people? WALA!!! kasi ang natalo nag-rebelde, then nag pagamit naman tayo. Democracy is not working in this country. Balik tayo sa Martial Law.
