In the press briefing, the official reason for the declaration of Martial Law that is given is that according to the government, apparently groups loyal to The Ampatuan Clan have been planning operations against the government to try and prevent any action to be taken against The Ampatuans. The threat is there…Only history will judge. If the move is
right. However, let us all be vigilant. Gloria Arroyo can leave
a good legacy by dismantling these Political Warlord Clans. Or she can be just another President, who came and go. And,made rich of herself.
I rather have settled on the perspective of giving Ms. Arroyo the benefit of the doubt. It is a difficult situation. It is easy to criticize. So I’ll do the difficult thing and shut my yap.
