According to the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), with just about 5 million votes left to count, the vice presidential race between Senator Mar Roxas and outgoing Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay is too close to call.
As of last count on Thursday evening:
Binay = 13,429,660 (40.77 %)
Roxas = 12,643,219 (38.38 %g)
With such a close margin of just 776,441 votes between the two candidates, the PPCRV has been hesitant to call any winner of the vp race.
However, there have been rumors according to the camp of Mayor Jejomar Binay that special operations may be underway in Mindanao in order to garner votes for Roxas and thus overtake his lead. Roxas has come out in a press conference stating however that he has not given up and that the fight continues.
