Who’s lying?

jun-lozada-21The question should be who’s more credible not who’s lying.

Mike Defenseor says Jun Lozada lied to the Senate when he testified that Defensor forced him to lie about being kidnapped by government officials upon his return from Hongkong in February 2008. Jun Lozada says he was telling the truth.

Mike Defensor was a Palace official when he called a press conference to debunk the Garci’s tapes as fake. His famous line was, ‘It’s Mrs. Arroyo’s voice but she’s not the one talking’ or something to that effect.

So I guess that settles the question of who is more credible.,

Now who’s lying among these three Palace mutts?

The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that two Palace officials claimed they have nothing to do with Defensor filing a perjury case against Lozada.

Malacañang distanced itself Wednesday from the arrest of whistleblower Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada, saying the matter was between him and complainant Michael Defensor, former chief of the Presidential Management Staff.

Remonde and Gabriel Claudio, presidential political adviser, also denied that they had attempted to convince Defensor to withdraw the perjury complaint he had filed against Lozada.

Remonde admitted meeting with Defensor two or three days ago and discussing the Lozada case with him “in passing.”

“I just asked about his take on it,” he recalled. “But it was not meant to impose on him.”

Claudio said he ran into Defensor last Sunday, but “never advised [him] on any particular course of action.”

Defensor contradicts the two on the following day.

“Cerge Remonde called me up last Saturday, and Gabby Claudio called me up on Sunday. Cerge again called on Monday evening. They asked me to withdraw the case, because the Lozada issue was dead but is being revived,” Defensor told reporters.

. They all admitted to a conversation. They contradict each other on the topic they discussed/

Can you tell who’s lying?

Susginoo…, do we really have to always do it backwards and sooo overly complicated. Jun Lozada was arrested for perjury. Mike defensor wanted his name cleared and he used the proper forum to clear his name.

If anybody has an issues against Mike Defensor, then they should go to court the way Mike Defensor and sue him.

And what is that support from Cory , Erap, the traders, etc etc.. for? That Lozada should not be arrested? Again Cory has muddled the issue again.

I have to repost my comment from somewhere in this site:

Ironically, the alleged overgreed ($120 million)of Abalos made the headlines and forced GMA to cancel the ZTE Broadband Project. The moderate greed acceptable to Lozada so he can facilitate the "commisions" (hindi bubukol) is $64 million.

People would have paid the loan to the Chinese Bank that will front-end the project including the $64 million moderate greed had not Abalos demanded for $120 million.

Abalos greed avoided the project from being pushed through while under Lozada's moderation, could have sealed the project and people would not have even noticed the $64 million moderated greed.

Under the criteria above, I will consider Mr. Abalos more helpful to the people than Mr. Lozada.

    Heroes and villains, anyone?

  6. The idiots who should be hanged in this NBN-ZTE fracas is JOEY DE VENENTA.

If he's worth a CEO material he should know better than gossiping about money that changed hands without evidence. I JUST WONDER HOW HE RUNS BUSINESS.

  7. Another idiots that should be hanged is the irresponsible 4th Estate for instead of running to NBI they'd rather want a scoop and irresponsibly publish Joey de Venenta's version of it without EVIDENCE …

    HOW IGNORANT ….

  8. UP n grad says:

How will J-Lo prove his claim that Defensor forced him to lie about his supposed kidnapping by government officials and policemen when he returned to the Philippines from Hong Kong in February 2008 ? .

  9. BongV BongV says:

The question should be who’s more credible not who’s lying.

Was it Denzel Washington on "Training Day" who said "It's not what you know, it's what you can prove." ?

    • Yeah, it was "Training Day" and that's how rule-of-law supposed to work. It's not the people's fault IT'S THE PEKENG-PERYODISTA'S FAULT! The pekeng-peryodistas with all their supposedly deep analysis should know.

THE PEKENG-PERYODISTAS are piting us against each other. People against government. Government against people. And in the end … they'd be laughing at us and counting their monies … because doom and gloom increases circulation …

    • Manuel Buencamino manuelbuencamino says:

      yeah and denzel washington died

      • BongV BongV says:

Alonzo (denzel washington) died because the scenario was in the US.

if it were in the PI, Jake (ethan hawke) would be dead and Alonzo (denzel) would retire as head of a government agency.

  10. This is what happens if irresponsible pekeng-periodistas and dumb CEOs whistleblow WITHOUT INCONTRIVERTIBLE EVIDENCE!!!!! GULO!!!!!

It boils down to he said she said and who has the greatest of credibility of them all ….

THAT IS WHY I CELEBRATE WHENEVER THERE'S PEKENG-PERYODISTAS SHOT IN THE STREETS LIKE SWINE!!!!!

    • UP n grad says:

now, "shot in the streets" —- that is harsh. Just look to pekeng-peryodistas as fiction writers and leave them to their trade (where you can refuse to buy their products and also you can tell other people about the lousy quality of the pekeng's products )

      • You people in America are so clueless. You think Flips refuse to buy products from the pekeng-peryodistas? They cannot even tell whether they've been had or not in the case of JLo and Justice Sabio and tsismoso/inggit Joey de Venenta.

Look, UPngrad, in America the homeless and mental retards go to libraries. They know more than our Senators compared. The Flip-Ams don't go to libraries because they only have one book … that's mahal-na-bibliya. Their newspapers are Balita, Philipine Journal, Manila Bulletin and all their news are clones of each other ….

"shot in the streets" is not harsh, UPngrad. It's humane. Good for them and good for the FlipLand

  11. HEADS UP! Now, listen, ya'll.

Joey de Venenta and his supposedly witnesses don't have a morsel of incontrovertible evidences. It was fortunate for anti-GMA and Joey's supposedly witnesses that bungling bumbling foreign-educated Senators had their invistigations open for public. THEY WERE ABLE TO TIE THEIR STORIES INTO A TIGHT KNIT! This can never happen in America! MY STATEMENT IS NOT NEGOTIABLE! Well that is, if you are in America….

… but in FlipLand an affidavit without evidence can land you in jail. Tsismis can land you in jail … provided it's brown-skin-against-brown-skin

On the other hand of the whistleblowing spectrum of Justice Sabio againist MERALCO, the pekeng-peryodistas suddenly became lawyers for MERALCO. Why? Because MERALCO is a tisoy!!! HA!HA!HA!HA! Pekeng-peryodistas attack Justice Sabio with cattle prod that Justice Sabio welted.

Now my question is, why didn't they treat Joey de Venenta like Justice Sabio? ABERRRRRR?

  12. PUTANG-INA N'YO MGA FLIPS …. HINDI BA KAYO MATOTO? PUTA!

  13. The anti-GMA witnesses did was listen to pekeng-peryodiko and read blogs and tie their stories together and make it into a coherent whole ….

  14. tasio says:

An administration who has already lost its credibility to the Filipino people. Does not accept the fact that people will
never believe in what the say and do. These people are out of touch to the reality. Insist to themselves, they
are still to be believable or credible.

With all kinds of high profile corruption cases. Trying to hide the truth. Double talk on issues. Why can they
not get it? They think that people are boneheads, like themselves.

    • I'm not pro-GMA, Tas, but let me ask you this. GMA lost its crredibility in appearance only, MANY, MANY, THANKS TO PEKENG-PERYODISTAS and the lousy accusers who cannot present evidences … SO ANG MANGYARI WALANG PROSEKYUSION … Kasi sa FlipLand tsismis makes it way into pekeng-peryodikos.

Pwera na lang maraming gung-gong sa FlipLand.

PROUD TO BE PINOY? IKAKAHIYA ANG PAGKAPINOY! MASAKIT NGA PERO THIS IS THE WAY TO OPEN OUR EYES TO BE EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE ….

  15. Manuel Buencamino manuelbuencamino says:

    Rego and Bencard,

Mt question was who do you think was lying with regards to the contradictory stories of Mike Defensor versus Cerge Remonde and Gabby Claudio.

  16. Phil Manila says:

    I dunno guys.

As what the cliche says, 'the devil is in the details."

Sad to say, the Senate investigation resulted in the reverse: 'the details is with the devil.' : 0

  17. My verdict based on Philippine funny ha!ha! justice system? LOZADA IS GUILTY.

By, the way, I just wonder whatever happened to Senate invistigation on ZTE? CLOSED? FORGIVE&FORGET? EWAN KO!!!!!!!

  18. tasio says:

Gloria Arroyo used the Lozada arrest case to deflect the blame on her administration regarding Fertilizer Scam,
ZTE, World Bank corruption deal, etc…It is just a plain diversionary political tactic. We must always remember.
The conjugal plunderers have stolen a lot of cash from us.

  19. DJB_Rizalist says:

    MB,
Just ot change the angle of attack a little, do you know what Mike Defensor "has" on Jun Lozada? Or more importantly, what he "has" on Romulo Neri?

I think, personally, that Mike Defensor is the Devil hisself. It is him that fixes witnesses (remember the Mawanay incident?) and I think he does it primarily with BLACKMAIL.

Apparently he didn't have enough on Jun, and besides Jun has thrown all caution to the wind and placed his faith in God. He can't really be touched by MD's smooth, smooth ways. But on Romulo Neri he has scandalous, mean Swords of Damocles and has used them to silence that poor tortured soul.

We, however, ought not to be squeamish about these matters. I know I am not and would be willing to see someone blow the whole thing — all of it! — wide wide open.

This case has the potential to do that.

But if people do what I think they will do, we shall only succeed in putting Defensor in the Senate.

He is the worst of GMA's dybbuks.

The key to this, however, is romulo neri. I predict there will be headlines with his name on it with respect to this case.

  20. Primer C. Pagunuran Primer says:

You're right djb, Jun might even provide the jumping board for Mike to grab a Senate seat in the realm of public discourse which Mike, more than Jun, can skillfully manipulate and shape according to populist desire.

When this happens, Jun only ended up adding fuel to the fire.

  21. Bert says:

    my 2-cents:

Whichever way the court goes on this case, Jun lozada will benefit more votes than Mike comes election time if they both run for senator in 2010. Mike lost already the last time, doubtful if he can redeem himself with this case. However, Lozada has his grey areas, so might not win also considering the gamut of strong senatoriables in line vying to win.

dont shoot the messenger…get the message and act on it.

accusing top officials is like a stranger lost in the woods…a stranger that become an easy prey of all hiding beast from the bushes once stepping his feet to the unknown grounds and will never know who will going to draw the first strike or blow against the stranger.

imagine yourself as J-Loza, and to know what he really feels at this moment…do you have the guts to expose all the things you know, even you know that it is yourself; is the only evidence you have and putting the lives of your love ones in danger.

and let us not put words to J-Loza’s mouth that he will be another PERFECTO YASAY JR. in the making who after exposing BW Resources become a national hero.
